France boosts Calais tunnel security, al-Jazeera journalists trial, Book of Morman opens in Utah
The security forces in the French port of Calais are trying to prevent a third successive night of mass incursions into the Channel Tunnel by migrants trying to reach Britain. As night fell, groups of migrants moved steadily along the darkened highway approaching the tunnel. The French authorities have deployed extra riot police in Calais after nearly 3,500 people have been caught trying to reach Britain this week.
The retrial of two al-Jazeera journalists, Mohamed Fahmy and Baher Mohamed is due to take place in Egypt today. Along with another journalist, Peter Greste, they were previously charged with aiding a terrorist organisation - a reference to the banned Muslim Brotherhood. Peter Greste was freed and deported back in February. His two colleagues were released on bail after spending more than 400 days behind bars.
The broadway musical, the Book of Mormon, has been wildly successful in New York and London. One place you might have not have expected it to be particularly popular is Salt Lake City, the home of the Mormon religion. However, the play has just made its debut in the heart of Mormon country. So how is it being received?
