Presenter Michael Palin defends BBC

Comedian and TV presenter Michael Palin has told the Victoria Derbyshire programme why he joined other celebrities to sign a letter defending the BBC.

The government is launching a review of the corporation and is expected to consider what it produces and how big it should be.

Mr Palin said the BBC, which was "enormously admired around the world" shouldn't be allowed to be "chipped away".
