Laura Bassett: I'd prefer no-one knew my name

In her first interview since scoring a last-minute own goal in England's World Cup semi-final defeat to Japan, Laura Bassett has said she wishes no-one knew her name.

“I couldn’t breathe […] I just wanted the ground to open up and swallow me in” said the 31-year-old.

“I prefer no-one to know my name if being honest.”
