Greece misses payment deadline, Yemen prison break, USA in World Cup Final
The Greek debt crisis has entered a new phase after Athens failed to meet a repayment deadline to the International Monetary Fund. Greece is now cut off from further loans, its international bailout has been suspended and the European Central Bank meets today to discuss whether it needs to impose fresh terms for the emergency loans that sustain the country's banks.
More than a thousand prisoners have escaped from a jail in the central city of Taiz, when it was attacked by groups of armed men.
In the Women's World Cup semi-final in Canada, the United States have beaten Germany two-nil. The Americans will meet either Japan or England in the World Cup Final in Vancouver on Sunday.
