Migrant Boat Turned Away
Migrant boat turned away from Indonesia; Blogger killed in Bangladesh; New row over Bin Laden death
Indonesia has turned away a boat carrying hundreds of migrants believed to be from Myanmar and Bangladesh. The Indonesian navy said it provided the vessel with fuel and asked those on board to continue their journey. The International Organisation for Migration told the BBC that an estimated eight thousand migrants are at sea in the region.
A secular blogger has been hacked to death in Bangladesh -- the third such killing this year. Police said Ananta Bijoy Das was attacked by a masked gang wielding machetes in the north-eastern city of Sylhet.
The White House has rejected an article by veteran US investigative journalist, Seymour Hersh, disputing the Obama administration's account of the death of the Al-Qaeda leader, Osama Bin Laden, in Pakistan four years ago. Writing in the London Review of Books, Mr Hersh says that the killing of Bin Laden was not an all-American affair and the Pakistanis were well aware of the operation AND that they'd known his whereabouts since 2006. The White House says its version was accurate.
