EU Accuses Google of Search 'Abuse'
In what could become one of the defining anti-trust cases of the internet era, Google has been accused by the European Union of alleged anti-competitive behaviour. The outcome could be a fine for one of the world's most valuable companies of as much as ten percent of its annual sales. One of the organisations which has been lobbying against Google is FairSearch Europe - a group of businesses including TripAdvisor, Expedia, Microsoft and Hotwire. Their spokesman in Brussels is Thomas Vinje.
