Indian activist’s grandson recalls his life
Indian activist Dattatreya Kalalkar was known for his work in the independence movement, as a social reformer and journalist. He was also a follower of Mahatma Gandhi and his philosophy of non- violence, and a member of his ashram in Gujarat. He passed away in 1981.
In this extract, BBC Radio Northampton’s Jona Kotnis speaks to his grandson Sidharth who now lives in Northampton.
