Business entrepreneur from Nottingham gets OBE
A business man from Nottingham received an OBE from the Queen in the New Year’s honours list. Sam Sangha moved came from India, when he was 10 to build up a big business empire in the city.
Sam Sangha runs a food supplier, among other businesses, and is also an ambassador for the city of Nottingham.
In this extract he speaks to BBC Radio Nottingham’s Kaval Vaseer about the moment he found out he was going to get the award.
