From mop to top: How cleaner became Adnams exec

A former cleaning lady has become the new executive director of Suffolk brewer Adnams, after 26 years at the firm.

Karen Hester, a former armed forces ambulance driver, took the cleaning job as it fitted around the care needs of her two small children.

She explains how she rose through the ranks to join the company's top brass.
