The Indian Royal Flying Corps fighter Ace
From the Royal Air Force museum, the achievements of a 19 year old Indian pilot are assessed. The achievements are two-fold. First a top level fighter ace and second a pioneer within the RFC overcoming official racial prejudice. The context and reasons for his commission as an officer are explained.
