‘I Am Invictus’: Official Trail

Watch British athlete Derek Derenalagi in this official Invictus Games trail.

Derenalagi lost both legs after his vehicle was hit by a bomb in Afghanistan in 2007.

He was pronounced dead at Camp Bastion before doctors discovered a pulse while preparing him for his body bag.

In the video he says: “I’ve been ambushed, I’ve been shot at, I’ve been blown up.

“But never defeated. I am Invictus.”

Derenalagi will compete in the discus, shot put and 100m at the Invictus Games.
