Statue Sale Condemned But Still Goes Ahead

Locally, nationally and internationally, the sale of the Egyptian statue Sekhemka by Northampton Borough Council has been widely criticised and condemned, but still goes ahead.

Northampton novelist Alan Moore, a former Egyptian antiquities minister and local campaigners have all condemned the sale of the Egyptian statue of Sekhemka, but Northampton Borough Council are pressing ahead with its sale at auction.
