The KM Music Conservatory

During the 2014 Celtic Connection festival the BBC SSO played a special concert of AR Rahman’s music in Glasgow. AR Rahman and students from the KM Music Conservatory - which he founded in Chennai - came to perform alongside the orchestra. The cultural exchange was completed when players from the BBC SSO visited the Conservatory while on the tour in India. Lead by composer and conductor James Macmillan they held a composition workshop for Indian students.
