Young, gifted and black
A 17-year-old from Nottingham has reached the finals of the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition. Pianist, Isata Kanneh-Mason, already counts Sir Elton John as a fan after the musical icon agreed to pay her tuition fees to the Royal Academy of Music. In this extract, the teenager talks to the BBC's Reya El-Salahi about being one of few young, black pianists in classical music.
