The Victorian must-have items that were domestic killers

Novelty gadgets such as a flushing loo or an electric table cloth were desirable items in Victorian times but they could also be deadly.

Historian, Susannah Lipscomb has been taking a look back at some of these everyday items for a new programme called ‘Hidden Killers’.
