It's the end of an era for Northampton's St James bus depot as First Bus closes its operation in the town. Around 40 jobs will be lost. The depot has been sold to Church's Shoes.
It's the end of an era for Northampton's St James bus depot as First Bus closes its operation in the town. As the last bus pulls out of the building it will mean the loss of around 40 jobs. The landmark site originally opened over a century ago to serve the town's electric trams.
It's been announced that Church's Shoes will buy it the depot.
Stuart talks to Hasmukh Stanikaya who's worked at the bus depot for more than 25 years, to Steve Zanker the regional manager for First East Midlands, and to Graham Croucher the Secretary of the St James Residents Association.
