North Sea Oil
Aberdeen in Scotland is where Britain's energy revolution began almost 40 years ago, under the North Sea. It is now a global centre of oil engineering.

When they started pumping the oil almost four decades ago, most experts expected it to run out by the end of the 1990s. But North Sea energy production is still in business, and Aberdeen has become a global centre of oil engineering.
