From Soap Opera to the world’s favourite opera Preeya Kalidas gives Carmen a Bollywood makeover

The opera Carmen is the tale of a Spanish seductress, who mesmerises the men around her.

This weekend the story swaps Seville for the streets of Bradford as the performance is given a Bollywood makeover.
Preeya Kalidas and Stephen Rahman-Hughes tell Breakfast’s Bill Turnbull and Susanna Reid how they hope to bring a sense of silver screen magic to the performance.

Bollywood Carmen will be live on BBC Three at 9pm on Sunday 9th June.
