Gloucestershire NHS Hospitals Trust says emergency departments are facing a recruitment crisis because of a growing number of female doctors.
According to the Trust, female doctors are less likely to work in A&E because the hours are not compatible with a family life.
Around 75% of last year's junior doctors were women, leaving fewer and fewer people willing to work in Emergency Departments.
