A Romanian palace and a fear of flying
The building with the biggest carpet in Europe; and a reporter's crippling fear of flying.
The late Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceaucescu was no doubt erecting a monument to his own power when he had the People's Palace built in Bucharest. But somewhere along the kilometres of corridors, or perhaps it was on the biggest carpet on the continent, Romanian politics took a different turn. Chris Morris has been to visit and look at where Romania is coming from, and where it's going.
For someone who has to fly so regularly for work, it is unfortunate that Laura Trevelyan has a fear of flying. She describes the scary trips she has made and how she intends to overcome the panic.
