The end of an era

After 23 years with The World Tonight, Robin Lustig presented his last programme on 13 December, 2012.

He covered some of the most momentous global events for the programme including the fall of the Berlin Wall, the end of the Soviet Union, the genocide in Rwanda in 1994 and the events of 9/11. His voice has also been familiar around the world as a presenter of Newshour on the BBC World Service.
