'Some Dogs Bite' (pt 2/10)

This is the second clip in the series 'Some Dogs Bite' which follows a group of vulnerable young people on their journey to find some stability and security in their lives. Half brothers, Casey and H are on the train heading northwards. They meet Lenny, a young soldier on his way home from Afghanistan who is looking forward to seeing his partner and their baby daughter. Lenny tells H that he grew up without his parents and was brought up by a succession of foster parents. His grandfather has left him a ramshackle cottage in rural Wales, which Lenny offers to H if he ever needs a refuge.

The clip then cuts to the grandfather's cottage the following night. H and Casey have teamed up with two girls they have met, Venetia and her best friend Seema. The four of them are using Lenny’s cottage as a temporary home. Suddenly Lenny crashes into the cottage, in an uncontrollable rage and H has to grapple with him in an effort to calm him down. Lenny disappears into the night, and when H goes after him he says that his partner has left him, taking their daughter with her. H and Lenny talk into the night about parenthood, relationships and responsibility. In the morning, Lenny is feeling more positive and determined to try to be a good father to his daughter.
