Designing a safe roller coaster
Greg Bryant, a Los Angeles entertainment engineer, started out in movies and now works mainly with theme parks as a consultant on ride safety. He discusses the forces acting on someone on a roller coaster and explains the need to consider safety and comfort while maintaining the thrill of the ride. He explains his proudest achievement was designing a wrap-around sign in Times Square which displayed his name.
