Rupert Everett: ‘I stick pins in effigies of Hugh Grant’
Actor Rupert Everett speaks to Front Row’s Kirsty Lang about the intimate disclosures he makes in his new memoir. He reveals his envy of romantic lead Hugh Grant and why he sees historian Simon Schama as akin to a vaudeville actor. Currently playing Oscar Wilde in The Judas Kiss on stage at Hampstead theatre, Everett is also making plans to direct a film about the last weeks of Wilde’s life. Rupert’s memoir 'Vanished Years' is BBC Radio 4's Book of the Week from the 24th September.
