Major investments for Vauxhall

The American car maker General Motors, is preparing to announce a major investment at its Vauxhall car plant at Ellesmere Port, in Cheshire.

There had been fears it could close because GM is looking to cut production capacity in Europe.

Vauxhall car production ended in Luton in 2002, but van production remains, as does the company's UK headquarters.
