Hundreds of thousands of public sector workers are expected to join a 24-hour strike later in protest at the government's pension reforms. Unions say the changes will leave their members paying more and working longer for lower pensions. But the Conservative Party chairman Lady Warsi says current arrangements are unaffordable because people are living longer.
