200 jobs under threat in Droitwich

There's uncertainty for more than 200 staff at a Droitwich firm this evening.

Yodel is considering its future and a 90 day consultation has started with 220 workers.

It's based on the Berry Hill Industrial Estate and is the latest big company there to hit problems.

330 workers at DHL were told to move to Somerset or lose their jobs earlier this year.

Phil Merrick from Wychavon District Council met with Yodel this morning.

A Yodel Spokesman says: "We are currently in the consultation period regarding the site at Droitwich, talking to both unions and colleagues, and as such are unable to comment further"
