UK drought concerns and Claire White inquest begins

For the second winter in a row, parts of East Anglia, central and south-eastern England have seen worryingly little rain.

Today ministers, water companies and environment groups have been meeting at Westminster to examine the options.

An inquest has heard how a Derby woman who struggled with her obesity for years died just days after weight loss surgery.

Claire White from Sinfin had a gastric band fitted at the Royal Derby Hospital. But the 37-year-old had an infection after the operation and died because of a blood clot.
