Shropshire's Community Infrastructure Levy
What could a new tax on house building mean for developers in Shropshire?
Shropshire Council is one of the first in the country to push ahead with a new tax on building new homes. The Community Infrastructure Levy is meant to pay for the roads and services which are needed for new buildings. But some architects and developers aren't happy with it, fearing it'll put off building work which they say is badly needed for the local economy.
