How to track a killer whale
Frozen Planet worked with expert Antarctic boat skippers and killer whale scientists to capture a remarkable behaviour – killer whales working in teams to generate waves that wash unsuspecting seals from ice floes. Before Frozen Planet this behaviour had only been witnessed a few times, but the team witnessed more than 22 separate attacks and got to know the pods of killer whales like old friends.
