Shropshire Council employees dismissed and rehired

Shropshire Council's entire workforce was dismissed today - and will be rehired on new terms and conditions tomorrow. It'll mean an immediate 2.7% cut in pay - with another 2.7% being wiped off salaries in a year's time.
