Hospital car parking profits

More than £4m was collected in hospital car parks across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes last year - according to figures gathered by BBC Three Counties Radio.

The surplus after paying for car park maintenance, security and related costs - was approximately £1.6m.

All hospital trusts say they put any profits back into patient care and services.
