A new law for victims' families

A new law is needed to help victims' families cope better with the ordeal of going through the justice system, according to a report out today.

The government's victims commissioner Louise Casey says the courts system protects the rich and wealthy more than the families of murder victims.

The report comes after Milly Dowler's family hit out at the "horrifying ordeal" of her murder trial last month, which they say made members of her family feel as if they were the ones in the dock.
