"This weekend sees the centenary of one of the great unsung jazz singers, Maxine Sullivan. Celebrate with The Late Paul Barnes on Saturday at 11.00pm. There are birthday tributes too to Woody Herman who led one of the finest swing orchestras of all; and we blow out a candle for Norwich’s own Beryl Bryden, born 1921, queen of the blues and a wow on the washboard."
