A Wedding Special from the Jive Aces
A selection of the best in jazz music.
We talk to the Jive Aces about their new single released just in time for the Royal Wedding. Also they describe their other single which comes out shortly and has connections with Morecombe and Wise! We return to the forties and the fifties and see just how blurred the line is between jazz, rhythm and blues and rock and roll with some great examples. There are a number of new re-issues from Coleman Hawkins, Billie Holiday and the Dutch Swing College Band plus a new album from Ian and Alan Bateman with Maggie Reeday. At the other end of the scale there are new sounds from John Scofield, Chick Corea and Gregory Porter.
