Mother’s Day and Walthamstow cinema
Walthamstow residents are up in arms about the creation of a church in the old cinema and two young slam poets talk 'revolution.'
Residents in Walthamstow have enlisted a famous face to save their beloved cinema from becoming the new venue for a Brazilian church. Mick Jagger has signed the petition to keep the disused EMD cinema as an entertainment venue. Two young poets join Jumoke to explain how they've been inspired by the theme of 'revolution' for a new slam poetry night with a faith twist. We hear about a special Mother’s Day service in Marylebone and a woman who exchanged letters with the most recent Brit to travel to Switzerland to die tells her very personal story of assisted suicide.
