Ed Milliband talks about the governments spending cuts

As the government is set to make £16bn worth of cuts, Ed Milliband agrees cuts are needed but doesn't accept the figures set out by the coalition.

The government is set to make £16bn worth of cuts in the forthcoming financial year. Labour has attacked the move, but previous chancellor Alistair Darling was thought to have planned to make £14bn worth of cuts. That's only £2bn less. BBC Radio Berkshire's Phil Kennedy challenged Labour leader Ed Miliband about Sure Start Centres which face being closed. Mr Miliband told him he didn't accept the figures but agreed cuts had to be made.
