"Sparkling stuff is in store for Christmas Night. The 'King of hi-de-ho,' Cab Calloway, was like Louis Armstrong and Fats Waller insofar as he combined excellent jazz and swing with a boisterous sense of humour. He had the bad luck to be born on December 25, so we console his spirit with a birthday tribute that includes hits like Minnie the Moocher and Kicking the Gong Around.
All this and more besides with the Late Paul Barnes, live at 11.00 on Christmas night.
