Copland: Symphony No. 3

Stephen Johnson explores the American composer Aaron Copland's Symphony No. 3, which was largely composed during the latter years of the Second World War, and finds that it is a work strongly affected by the time in which it was written. The specially recorded examples are performed by the BBC Philharmonic conducted by Jason Lai.
