For the final day of the week The Northern Echo chose the story about competitors who have lined up for the National Siesta Championships in Madrid, where the winners are those who can fall asleep quickest, snore loudest, or snooze in the most unusual position...

The Northern Echo headline - 'They Came, They Snored, They Conquered'.

BBC Tees went with 'Beddy, Zzeddy, Doze'.

Adjudicator Kerry thought that BBC Tees just had the edge today & awarded the point to us.

This still meant a victory for The Northern Echo - they win 4-3.
