5 live Breakfast - Drug addicts
A 5 live Breakfast investigation has found that drug addicts taking the heroin substitute methadone under supervision are then spitting it out again for someone else to take. The practice, 'spit meth', carries an added risk of hepatitis B infection. 5 live's James Shaw gives more detail, the director of operations for a provider of services for people with drug and alcohol problems reacts to the investigation, and ex-addicts talk about the practice.
