A new book from Rev Brian Kennaway
A book has been published called ‘The Orange Order: a Tradition Betrayed’ by Reverend Brian Kennaway which contains some of his thoughts on Ulster-Scots culture.
Liam Logan asks Brian if Ulster-Scots heritage should be equated with Orangeism and Liam gets a second opinion from Dr David Hume, a historian and Director of Services with the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland.
Brian Kennaway concludes that while Presbyterianism is at the heart of the Ulster-Scots tradition, not all those who embrace Ulster-Scots are necessarily Presbyterian. (Broadcast: 21 Jun 2006)
