Ulster-Scots - Renaissance or Straightjacket?
At the Maiden City Festival in Derry, a debate is taking place in the Verbal Arts Centre as part of the WF Marshall summer school.
David Hoey and James Wilson argue, “Is Ulster-Scots a cultural renaissance or a cultural straightjacket?”
We hear extracts from their arguments alongside comments from members of the audience: before the two speakers chat to Liam Logan about the Ulster-Scots issues they were trying to explore and where the future lies. (Broadcast 12th September 2004)
