Bee Part Of It!

Karen visits Felbrigg Hall near Cromer to learn about beekeeping for Bee Part Of It, the BBC project to raise awareness of the plight facing the UK's bee population.

BBC Radio Norfolk is teaming up with the National Trust to create local bee-friendly spaces for a new project called Bee Part of It!

Karen makes her visit to the BBC Norfolk hive at Felbrigg Hall to discover the world of beekeeping and why a dramatic decline in the number of bees is cause for global concern.

She'll be joined by BBC Norfolk bee-buddies Fiona Lilley and Elaine Gibbs, who have nearly 20 years experience with bees. They'll be reporting on the wildlife drama taking place in the BBC Norfolk hive as they look after it throughout the summer.

Karen will also be discovering more about the ancient craft of beekeeping stretches back to ancient Egyptian times, tasting Norfolk honey and taking a look behind the scenes and gardens at Felbrigg Hall.
