The Christmas Massacres
The Ugandan rebels, the Lord's Resistance Army have been terrorising the local population inside the Democratic Republic of Congo. Mark Doyle joins the army of Uganda, as it goes in pursuit.
The Ugandan army has recently been in the Democratic Republic of Congo hunting rebels of the Ugandan 'Lord's Resistence Army', or the LRA. The LRA has been terrorising and massacring the local population there.
After being defeated militarily inside Uganda, the LRA moved to neighbouring Congo because it guessed that the poorly trained Congolese national army would not be able to do much about them. What they didn't count on was the Congolese government allowing the Ugandan army to go in hot pursuit.
For Assignment Mark Doyle joined them in their search.
