Julia Gillard made history when she became Australia's first female Prime Minister in 2010. But her three years in office were overshadowed by misogynistic attacks from her opponents and dysfunction within her party. Since leaving politics she used her experience to help advance women and girls around the world through the promotion of education and leadership.
