Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup

World class competition in one of the most stunning locations on the planet, the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup is one of the highlights of the Mediterranean yachting season. The first Maxi World Championship was held in Sardinia in 1980, the brainchild of the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and its president, the Aga Khan. Now an eagerly anticipated annual event, the regatta attracts a sizeable fleet of majestic Maxi yachts to Porto Cervo each September. 2016 marks the 27th edition of the competition which comprises the seventh running of the much-vaunted Maxi 72 Rolex World Championship.
