As part of 2013: The Big Stories, another chance to see Yalda Hakim investigate the trip thousands of Ethiopian migrants are making to find work in Saudi Arabia.
Thousands of Ethiopian migrants are being kidnapped and tortured in Yemen. They are trying to get to Saudi Arabia to find work, but first they must cross the Red Sea, trek 500km through the desert and then evade Saudi border guards. But the biggest danger is from Yemeni criminal gangs who kidnap them and sell them to so called 'torture camps', where they are held and tortured for ransom. As part of 2013: The Big Stories, another chance to see Yalda Hakim investigate one of the most dangerous journeys on earth.
