
Bangladesh: Out of the Rubble
As part of 2013: The Big Stories, another chance to see Yalda Hakim as she visits Dhaka in Bangladesh, nearly two months after one of the world's worst industrial disasters.
More than a thousand Bangladeshi garment makers were crushed to death in the capital, Dhaka, when the illegally built warehouse they worked in suddenly collapsed. Many local people pitched in to try and rescue those trapped by the concrete, even if it meant cutting off their limbs. As part of 2013: The Big Stories, another chance to see 'Our World's' Yalda Hakim visit the site of one of the world's worst industrial disasters where she meets some of the rescuers - and those they saved.
