Muhammad Tahir Ul-Qadri

When a radical reformist Muslim cleric Tahir Ul Qadri returned to his native Pakistan from Canada last December, he promised a million-man long march on parliament to force out the government and bring in electoral reform. In the event the authorities say only tens of thousands of protestors turned out and just four days into the march he made a deal with the government. Is his wise voice to be heeded both in Pakistan and further beyond in the Muslim world? Or is he an out of touch, unrealistic, opportunist, seeking power and influence as his critics claim?
